Cary 50 Spectrophotometer Hardware Manual 23
To remove the lamp module:
1 Remove the plug from the ‘inst’ connector on the rear panel of
the Cary 50.
2 Turn the Cary 50 onto its side to give access to the base.
3 Using a star head screwdriver, undo and remove the six screws
marked by the white solid circles on the lamp module cover
(refer to Figure 3). As you remove the last screw, use one hand to
support the lamp module.

4 Hold the lamp module out from the instrument and unplug the
3-pin connector from the Cary 50 (refer to Figure 4). Discard the
lamp module.
