If an RC15 Remote Controller is attached to the DD8, a soft key labelled “RC15” will be shown
on the REMOTE page. Pressing the RC15 key takes you to the following page:
The RC15 is a small optional remote controller that connects to the EXPANSION connector on
the rear-panel of the DD8. As well as a jog/shuttle wheel, it has 8 function keys (F1..F8) and 6
transport keys, each of which can be assigned to a variety of functions:
The RC15 keys are listed in the column on the left hand side of the RC15 SETUP screen. The 8
transport keys are listed as F1..F8, and the transport keys are listed as TRANSPORT 1 .. TRANS-
PORT6.
The DATA+/- keys are used to select the function for each key and the PREV/NEXT keys (F1/
F2) are used to scroll up and down through the list of RC15 keys.
The options available are:
REWIND Rewind transport
FAST FORWARD Fast Forward transport
STOP Stop transport
PLAY Put transport into play
RECORD Send record command when PLAY is also pressed
REC (PUNCH-IN) Drop into record
REC (TOGGLE) Drop in/out of record
PLAY REVERSE Play backwards
STORE IN Grab IN time
STORE OUT Grab OUT time
