88.2KHZ AND 96KHZ SAMPLE RATES
These high-resolution sample rates are available for applications such as DVD authoring. These
options are intended for use when connected to external equipment using the IB-D8MA24
(8-channel AES/EBU digital input/output board). When either of the “88.2kHz (2-ch)” or “96kHz
(2-ch)” options are selected on the DIGITAL SETTINGS page, the DD8 enters a special ‘dual-
channel’ mode where inputs and outputs are paired:
INPUTS
OUTPUTS
12345678
12345678
IN 1 IN 2 IN 3 IN 4
OUT 1 OUT 2 OUT 3 OUT 4
This is similar to the high sample rate support provided by the Nagra-D and several external AD/
DA convertors. When this mode is selected, the INPUT ROUTING page will change to show you
the pairs of inputs that are assigned to each track:

When the IB-D8MA24 (Multi-AES/EBU digital audio option board) is installed, an extra soft key
will apppear on the DIGITAL SETTINGS page:
