6 Connect up to four Ethernet cables to the RJ-45 ports (DLP 101).
7 Connect up to four E1/T1 cables to the RJ-48C ports (DLP 103).
8 If used, configure the SLID (DLP 122).
9 Connect the fiber optic cable.
i Plug the OptiTap adaptor into the fiber optic port (DLP 117).
ii Plug the SC/APC adaptor into the fiber optic port (DLP 118).
10 If the B-0404-A is powered using:
a a power converter, go to step 11.
b a UPS, go to step 12.
11 Install the power converter.
i Connect the ac power cable to the power converter (1AF 01226 AK), and plug
the power converter into the electric outlet as shown in Figure NTP 100-4.
Warning — Be careful to maintain a bend radius of no less than 1.5
inches (3.8 cm) when connecting the fiber optic cable. Too small of a
bend radius in the cable can result in damage to the optic fiber.
Note — Observe the following:
• The power converter must be located within 5 ft (1.5 m) of the
device.
• The power converter must be located within 6 ft (1.8 m) of an
electrical outlet.
• Units must be powered by a Listed or CE approved and marked
limited power source power supply with a minimum output rate of
12 V dc, 2 A.
