Tamper signal is sent through the Tamper Wire or the violet wire.
Tamper detection from the badge reader or The Rock will send a Tamper signal to the ACS.
On the back of the Rock is an Optical/IR sensor that will detect force removal from the wall. This detection triggers a signal to the ACS to alert that the device has been tampered with.
A tamper icon will be displayed on the status bar when the Rock has been tampered with and will clear after the Rock has been placed back into position.
There are two options for Factory Reset. Please be aware that factory reset will set the Rock back to initial factory settings and will require that all onboarding steps be repeated.
Option 1 - The Rock must be removed from the wall first. Short ‘Hold’ (blue wire) and ‘Tamper’ (purple wire) to GND for 15 seconds.
Option 2 - On Admin Portal – go to Device Management -> Devices and click on the red Delete button.

Factory Reset
The blue wire functions as the reader Hold signal.
In response to a Hold signal asserted from the ACS, The Rock will suspend all operations including:
■ No authentications
■ No badge numbers sent out
■ No Admin Portal activity
The Rock will resume activities upon de-assertion of the Hold signal
