Why is there too much delay with my Alesis Recording Equipment?
    • M
      Maria RodriguezAug 16, 2025
The delay or latency between hitting the pad and hearing the sound on your computer could be due to another device on your computer's USB bus. Try unplugging other USB devices, especially those that use a lot of bandwidth like disk drives. Also, your software's latency settings may not be correct. Try adjusting these settings within your software.

What to do if there is no sound from target device using Alesis Trigger iO Recording Equipment?
    • C
      clarkjordanAug 18, 2025
First, check the USB connections to ensure the Trigger IO is recognized and installed by your computer. If necessary, turn your computer off and then on again, choosing “shut down” rather than “restart”. Also, if you are using a USB hub, try connecting the Trigger IO directly to the computer, bypassing the hub. Ensure that the Trigger IO or “USB” MIDI device is listed as an active MIDI source in your software application and that your software application is actually receiving MIDI data. Many applications have MIDI IN and OUT indicators, so check for activity when playing the triggers. Finally, make sure the Trigger IO’s MIDI channel matches the incoming MIDI channel expected by the application.

How to fix Alesis Trigger iO pads triggering when not hit?
    • C
      Carla ScottAug 22, 2025
If your pad is triggering even when you are not hitting it, the pad’s Gain setting might be set too high, or the Threshold might be too low. Try lowering the pad’s Gain setting or raising the Threshold setting.

    Stacy DavenportAug 25, 2025
Why are some sounds louder than others on my Alesis Recording Equipment?
    • R
      richardwatsonAug 25, 2025
If some sounds are louder than others, it could be due to incorrect Gain settings. Use each trigger’s Gain setting to balance out the level of the sounds.

What to do if Alesis Recording Equipment footswitch behaves in an opposite manner?
    • R
      Roy DiazAug 27, 2025
If you're using a footswitch with the INC/DEC input and it's behaving in the opposite manner, turn the unit’s power off, wait a moment, and then turn it on again. Always ensure that footswitches and triggers are connected to the Trigger IO prior to powering on the unit. For other footswitches, go to Trigger Type and reselect the type with the footswitch in the UP position.

    • P
      Parker GonzalezAug 30, 2025
If your trigger isn’t sending any Note On messages, even though you’re hitting it, the Trigger Type might be set incorrectly. Try selecting a different Trigger Type. Also, the Threshold level might be too high, so try lowering the trigger’s Threshold level.

    • J
      James WashingtonSep 3, 2025
If you are experiencing notes that sustain continuously, it may be due to stuck notes caused by incomplete MIDI data. To resolve this, send an All Notes Off message by pressing the function up and function down buttons simultaneously.

What to do if Alesis Trigger iO display does not light up?
    • S
      sperezSep 9, 2025
If the display does not light up, it is likely due to a lack of power. If you are using USB power, check that the power switch on the back of the Trigger IO is in the OUT (USB) position. If you are using an AC adapter, check that the adapter is plugged into a live power outlet and that the power switch is in the IN (AC) position.

What to do if Alesis Trigger iO Recording Equipment footswitch pedal changes to the wrong kit?
    • J
      Jennifer MedinaSep 12, 2025
When changing kits remotely with your footswitch pedal, if you get the wrong kit or nothing happens, ensure that your software application can receive MIDI Program Change messages, as some programs do not accept them. If you are using a hardware module, make sure the drum kit you are selecting matches the program change number that you set for that kit on the Trigger IO.
