7.2.3 Maintenance Interval
The ALF-Filter should be opened minimum once a year for inspection checking its condition by a:
• Check of the operation of and the condition for the flow diverter (open/close position
inside the basket)
• Check of the operation and condition of the flushing valve
•
Visual inspection of the rubber lining inside the filter body. Make sure that the lining
is not torn or damaged - if it is, it must be repaired immediately to avoid corrosion of
the filter body. (R-type only)
7.2.4 Inspections
During normal operation it is not necessary to inspect the filter. However – if process values
changes drastically, the filter might be clogged. The clogging can be removed by:
• Initiate extra flushing
If this does not remedy the problem:
• Clean the filter manually by opening the inspection cover
• Remove larger solid debris using a soft brush or similar.
NOTE
If the filter is supplied with a differential pressure control system, the filter control
panel will initiate flushing. If the differential pressure is not below the initiating
value (according to the filter specification) after 3 attempts, the filter will go into
an alarm state and disable the AUTO mode
NOTE
-pressure water jet on the inside of the filter basket. There is a
risk that debris can get stuck in the slot or hole limiting the filtration area without
possibility of remedy by back flushing.
7.2.5 Corrective Maintenance
If the filter basket cannot be cleaned by use of a soft brush or similar, the filter basket can be
cleaned by using a high-pressure water jet. The filter basket must be taken out of the filter housing
in order to rinse from the “clean side” of the basket. (Opposite the flow direction)
