6.4 Normal Operation
At normal operation the flow diverter is open and the flushing valve is closed. The incoming liquid
passes through the filter basket and out through the outlet connection. The liquid velocity in the
inlet section is sufficient to keep the inlet section clean.
CAUTION
During normal operation the diverter valve must be open at all times. If the
diverter valve is closed during normal operation and with the pump running – the
debris is filtered only in the inlet section of the filter basket.
When the filter inlet section gets clogged the pressure on the diverter shaft can
exceed the design limit and cause the shaft to bend – alternatively the basket
inlet section can be damaged.
6.4.1 Regeneration
The filter basket is automatically cleaned at pre-set time intervals or by pressing the “Extra
Flushing” push button on the control panel.

A. Time Interval
B. Extra Flushing command (forced flushing)
C. Differential Pressure is high (optional equipment function)
