Chapter 2 Network Services Setup
0xFF 0x0104 Unable to connect to SMTP mail server set in
Attribute 5. If the mail server address is a
hostname, make sure that the device supports DNS
and a Name Server is configured.
If the hostname is not fully qualified, for example,
mailhost and not mailhost.xx.yy.com, then the
domain must be configured as xx.yy.com.
Try ping <mail server address> to be sure the mail
server is reachable from your network.
Also try telnet <mail server address> 25 to attempt
to initiate a SMTP session with the mail server via
telnet over port 25. If you connect, enter 'QUIT'.
0x0105 Communication error with SMTP mail server. An
error occurred after the initial connection with the
SMTP mail server.
See the ASCII text following the error code for
more details on the type of error.
0x0106 SMTP mail server hostname DNS query did not
complete. A previous send service request with a
hostname as the SMTP mail server address did not
yet complete.
Note that a timeout for a DNS lookup with an
invalid hostname can take up to 3 min.
Long timeouts can also occur if a domain name or
name server is not configured correctly.
0x0107 No DNS entry.
0x0108 DNS not configured.
0x0109 GW not configured.
0x0110 System fail (socket error).
