AlphaConnect Alphatron brand name for the telephone exchanger system.
Dial Call (a telephone number) by turning a dial or using a keypad
Dual-tone multi-
frequency signaling
An in-band telecommunication signaling system using the voice-frequency band over
telephone lines between telephone equipment and other communications devices and
switching centers
Duplex A duplex communication system is a point-to-point system composed of two connected
parties or devices that can communicate with one another in both directions.
FleetBroadBand A maritime global satellite internet, telephony, SMS texting and ISDN network for ocean-
going ships using portable domed terminal antennas.
PA system An electronic sound amplification and distribution system with a microphone, amplifier, and
loudspeakers, used to allow a person to speak to a large public.
TalkBack A system of two-way communication by loudspeaker (also named semi duplex-conference).
