VERSION VERIFICATION
3.0.1 Hardware Checklist
Verify these pieces of hardware are available for use at the device.
• Laptop with SD Card port/SD card adapter and 2 USB ports
• Industrial grade SD Card (Min: 512MB, Recommended: 1GB, Max: 2GB)
• Keyboard/Mouse Combination
• Debug Cable (FTDI 3.3v USB to TTL cable)
• Network Cable
• Flash Drive
3.0.2 Software Checklist
Verify these pieces of software are available for use at the device. These
files are obtainable through Amano McGann University.
• Putty, Advanced IP Scanner, and XCA Installed on Laptop
• Binaries for device being updated
• SmartCash v1.34 or above
• Latest WIN CE OS Image
• IO100 firmware
• SSL Certificate Instructions Guide
• Paystation IO100 HDF Files
3.1 Verify Current Firmware Versions
3.1.1 Windows CE & SmartCash CLM
1. Power the Paystation OFF.
2. Switch dip switches 6, 7, and 8 to the ON (downwards) position on the iCore
board. Leave all other switches in the OFF (upwards) position.
3. Power ON the device.
The Paystation will boot to the Windows CE operating system with dip
switches 6, 7, and 8 in the ON position.
4. After the device has booted into Windows, plug in a keyboard/mouse to the
iCore USB port.
5. Double click on the icon labeled Version Display.
6. The Build Information section contains the version numbers for the
SmartCash hardware/software and Windows CE Image.
