OPUS-7000 Installation Manual
20. Once completed, type Z1 in the Command field and press Send. The
BA01J23p_rev5483_AMANO firmware version should be returned from the
scanner.
21. Once verified, reconnect the scanner to the REPM PCB. The Scanner
firmware is now updated.
22. Power OFF the device.
23. Set the dip switches so they are back to kiosk mode (6 through 8 OFF).
24. Power ON the device.
4.6 Updating the Device Binaries
Updating the device binaries updates the application parkers interface with.
Note: Backup the Paystation settings if updating an existing
OPUS-7000.
1. Power OFF the Paystation
2. Remove the SD Card from the iCore board.
3. Insert the SD Card into a laptop SD port.
4. Copy the Paystation binaries from the SD\Binaries location on the SD card
and back them up on the laptop.
5. Copy the new binaries downloaded from Amano McGann University and
paste them on the SD card. Overwrite the current Binaries folder.
6. Select all of the newly copied files, right click the files, and select Properties.
Verify the files are NOT set to Read Only.
7. If the files are not set to Read Only, remove the SD card from the laptop and
insert it into the iCore SD port.
8. Change dip switches 7 and 8 to their ON position (down; away from the
switch numbers).
9. Power ON the Paystation. The device will load to an initialization menu.
10. Press All Initialize and wait for the device to boot to its regular idle state.
11. Turn dip switches 7 and 8 to the OFF position (up) once the Paystation is
idle.
12. Verify the version by loading the First Time Operation menu.
