7.3 Cleaning the UV optics light inlet window
Warning of hazardous voltage!
While the instrument is switched on, the spark stand presents a risk
of electrical
Shut down the Plasma generator (excitation unit) during all work on the spark
stand.
Warning! Toxic substances!
When removing the light entry window,
contact with the condensate of the
samples is likely. Depending on the sample material, the condensate may be toxic.
Protective gloves must be worn.
To clean the light inlet window, proceed as follows:
1. Turn off the Plasma generator
(1).
2. Unscrew the 4 fasteners (2) and
remove the spark stand plate
(3).

3. Unlock the cover (1) by pressing
both buttons (2) simultaneously.
4. Remove the cover (1).
