Battery
Starting with an external battery
Connect the red cable (1) to the (+)
terminals of both batteries.
Connect one end of the green or
black cable (2) to the (-) terminal of
the helper battery.
Connect the other end of the green or
black cable to a ground point on the
roller.
Activate the starter and allow the
engine to run.
Wait until the engine is idling
smoothly and then disconnect the
cable.
Charging the battery using a
battery charger:
Disconnect the battery. Observe the
battery charger manufacturer’s
manual.
Start with the (+) terminal when
reconnecting the battery.
NOTE
The battery poles and terminals must be clean. If they have a (whitish or
greenish) layer of sulfur, you must remove and clean them.
Long-term storage
If the machine is not in operation for more than two days, the battery must be
turned off at the cut-off switch. This reduces the risk of battery discharge.
If no battery cut-off switch is fitted to your machine, remove the negative
battery cable from the battery if a standstill period of more than two weeks is
expected.
