TROUBLESHOOTING
Many problems can be resolved without having to
call a specialist. If a problem occurs, you can try to
resolve it by following these recommendations. If
the problem cannot be resolved, your Apilus xCell
should be entrusted to an authorized service cen-
ter.
The device does not work after being turned on
• Check that the power cable is properly inserted
into the power source, and the device connec-
tion at the back of the case.
• Verify the proper function of the electrical source
by plugging in another device into the electrical
outlet.
• Check the device’s fuses and replace them
if necessary.
• Verify the the main power switch at the rear
of the unit is on.
The device operates intermittently
• Check that the power cable is properly inserted
into the power source, and the device connec-
tion at the back of the case.
The touch screen does not work after the
device is turned on
• The screen calibration procedure must be done.
• Turn the unit off and restart it after a few minutes
to allow the computer to reset.
Current is not activating when using the pedal
• Verify that the pedal is properly connected
to the device.
• Verify that the device isn’t set to the "without
pedal" operating mode. (Chapter 2: Adjusting the
settings)
• The treatment time and current intensity must be
sufficient in order to perform the treatment.
• Verify that the probeholder is properly connected
to the device.
• Verify that the probeholder being used corres-
ponds to the one identified by the device’s indi-
cator light.
• You should verify that the probe being used is
working properly by performing the accessory
test or by using a new probe.
• The pedal might need a cleaning.
The current does not activate when
in "without pedal" mode
• The "without pedal" operating mode must be
enabled. (Chapter 2: Adjusting the settings)
• Verify the insertion activation delay and make
sure it is properly set. (Chapter 2: Adjusting the
settings)
• The treatment time and current intensity must be
sufficient in order to perform the treatment.
• Verify that the probeholder is properly connected
to the device.
• Verify that the probeholder being used corres-
ponds to the one identified by the device’s indi-
cator light.
• Verify that the red cable is properly connected.
• Verify that the inactive electrode (bar electrode
or plate electrode) has good contact with the
client’s skin. Verify that the sponge-like cover and
compress are kept moist throughout the duration
of the treatment.
• You should verify that the probe holder and red
cable being used is working properly by perfor-
ming the accessory test or by using a new probe.
The audible notification does not work
• Check the notification volume settings.
