KRYPTON PRO 302A 4.5. Cutting the Fork’s Steerer Tube
To assemble the Krypton Pro Stem with the Integrated Top Compression
Cap (7.5), the fork’s steerer tube must be cut-to-size.
1.Conrmyourdesiredstackheightandstemheightposition.
Measure twice, cut once!
2. Mark the top-back-end of the stem’s carbon body (7.1).
3. Mark the cut line 3-4mm lower than the stem’s top-back-end mark.
4. Cut the fork’s steerer tube using a standard steerer tube cutting jig
andacarbon-specicblade.
5. File down the cut end of the steerer to make sure it is free of burr.

mechanical nishing and can then be released into the surrounding
atmosphere.Thesemicrobersifuncontrolledhaveapotentialtostick
into human skin or the mucous membranes causing irritation.
Wear respiratory protection, gloves, eye protection and keep skin
covered.
You should also work in a well-ventilated space away from electrical
equipment.Carbonberisconductive;ifairbornecarbonberdustor
o-cutspenetrateintoelectricalswitchesorequipment,shortcircuitsor
electric shock may occur.
When cutting carbon ber composite, minimise dust or particulate
generation by:
•wetprocessingofthematerial;
• using non-powered hand tool.
