7 Wheel the resident to the shower.
To bed
To transfer resident back to bed, per-
form “Transfer from bed” in reverse
order.
From wheelchair
1 Apply the brakes of the wheelchair,
remove the armrest and push the
footrests upwards.
2 Fold the side support of the
Concerto/Basic and place it right
beside the wheel chair.
3 Lower the Concerto/Basic to the
same level as, or slightly above, the
seat of the wheelchair. Move the
Concerto/Basic as close as possible
to the wheelchair.
4 Apply the brakes of the Concerto/
Basic.
5 Let resident move from the wheel-
chair to the Concerto/Basic by him-
self or assist if necessary.
Make sure the resident is sitting/
lying in the middle of the mattress
both length and breadthwise.
6 Allow the resident to lie down,
remove the wheelchair and raise the
side support.
7 Wheel the resident to the shower.

If resident’s position is not in the
middle the Concerto/Basic may tip
over causing serious injury to the
resident and caregiver.
