The side supports must always be rai-
sed to provide support during trans-
port of residents.
Hold the support at the top end of the
Concerto/Basic so that the resident is
wheeled with his feet first.
From bed
1 Lower the bedrail on the side where
the transfer will take place and make
sure that the opposing bedrail is rai-
sed, if any.
Turn the resident on his side.
2 Fold down the side support of the
Concerto/Basic on the side facing
the bed and turn the edge of the
mattress down.
3 Move the Concerto/Basic in over the
bed as close as possible to the resident
and lower it until it is resting against
the bed mattress.
4 Apply the brakes!
See Brakes on page 9.
5 Fold down the other side support
and roll the resident over onto the
Concerto/Basic. Fold up the nearest
side support and make sure that the
resident is lying in the middle of the
stretcher both length and breadth-
wise.
6 Raise the Concerto/Basic slightly,
release the brakes and wheel away
from the bed just enough to fold up
the other side support.
