required. Only Dispatch wipes have been validated for use in cleaning and
disinfection of the meter. A cleaning step must be performed before each
disinfection step.
Cleaning and disinfection frequency: The GLUCOCARD Expression
meter and Lancing Device should be cleaned when it appears dirty or
contaminated with blood. It should be disinfected every day according to
the validated cycle of 1825 times. The validated cycle of 365 x 5 = 1825
times is equivalent to one cleaning plus one disinfection per day over 5
years. The lancing device cleaning and disinfecting instructions in this
manual have only been validated using the lancing device.
Cleaning and Disinfecting Your Meter
Clean and disinfect your meter at least 1 time per week using DISPATCH®
hospital cleaner disinfectant towels with bleach, with EPA registration
number 56392-8. Other wipes with EPA Reg. No. 56392-8 may also be
used.
