Selector function is a two-side communication between subscribers, where at any
given time only single Selector participator can transfer speech information. The Selector
features are:
all the Selector participators always hear only the Selector organizer or one of
the Selector participators;
the Selector organizer may give and take back the right to answer from any
of the Selector participators;
the answer of Selector participator is heard by all the Selector participators
(this is the only difference between the Circular and Selector communication
modes);
every Selector participator may leave the Selector independently;
the Selector operation is in the general field of call priorities.
The Selector organizer, using the DK with Selector function, carries out the call of Se-
lector participators. After short-time pressing the DK with Selector function, the organizer
consequently presses the direct call pushbuttons “Calling via SIP” of subscribers to add
new participators to the Selector to remove participators from the Selector. The organizer
performs the transfer of right to answer, using the DK with Right to answer function. After
short-time pressing the DK with this function, the organizer performs the short-time press-
ing of direct call pushbutton of the subscriber, whom he wishes to transfer or take back the
right to answer. The organizer, with repeated pressing the DK Selector, accomplishes the
termination of Selector.
2.4.7.3 Duplex communication function is the establishment of connection between
subscribers, where at any given time the equipment of subscribers can operate in the
modes of transfer and receipt. The call is performed by pressing DK with the function Sub-
scriber duplex call. The function operates via SIP protocol.
In the duplex communication mode, when the "Manual duplex" function is activated,
half-duplex communication is realized with manual control of the transmit / receive direc-
tion, i.e. communication of a simplex subscriber with a duplex one, during which the sub-
scriber of a simplex device controls the direction of voice transmission by pressing the DK
to transmit voice from the microphone of his device to the device of the duplex subscriber.
After releasing DK, the direction of voice transmission changes to the opposite, from a du-
plex subscriber to a simplex one. Thus, the conversation does not require additional ma-
nipulations on the part of the duplex subscriber.
The group communication scenario Conference is implemented in the duplex com-
munication mode.
