Troubleshooting Your Network
Before You Start
Testing and monitoring your network’s status is done with the aid of the
LEDs on the hub, the network interface card, or the 10TMAU. In general, the
LEDs give information about the status of a particular unit or function. This
section covers how to read the LEDs when testing your installation and dur-
ing normal network operation.
The hub does not require any routine maintenance because it doesn’t con-
tain any fans or other mechanical devices on which its operation depends. If
you cannot identify and correct a fault using the testing procedures
described below, contact Asanté Technical Support. There are no user-ser-
viceable parts in the Asanté 10T Hub.
