Chapter 6 Transporting and Carrying the
FieldSpec® 3
This chapter details how the shipping case, Ergonomic Pro-Pack, and
FieldSpec spectroradiometer are designed to be used. This includes:
• Packing FieldSpec® 3 for Shipment
• Preparing the FieldSpec® 3 and Ergonomic Pro-Pack for the Field
• Carrying Supplies
• Protecting the Instrument in the Field
6.1 Packing FieldSpec® 3 for Shipment
The Ergonomic Pro-Pack is an integral part of the padding used for the
FieldSpec spectroradiometer in the shipping case. The main reason for this is
to allow the Ergonomic Pro-Pack to be packed with the spectroradiometer, so
that both can be conveniently transported to the destination for field work
where both would be needed.
Therefore, the first steps required for preparing the FieldSpec
spectroradiometer for transport with the shipping case involve putting the
spectroradiometer into the Ergonomic Pro-Pack.
