2.7 Laptop Carrier (Belly Board)
The laptop carrier has two intended configurations:
• With the neck strap, the laptop carrier can hold the instrument controller
without the Ergonomic Pro-Pack when the equipment is carried into the
field by two people.
• Without the neck strap, the laptop carrier can be attached directly to the
plastic snaps on the shoulder straps of the Ergonomic Pro-Pack when one
person operates the instrument.
Before taking the spectroradiometer into the field for the first time, place
matching velcro strips on the instrument controller (bottom) and laptop carrier
(top) using the following procedures.
Attaching velcro to the instrument controller and laptop carrier
Step 1 Remove the spectroradiometer and instrument controller from the Ergonomic
Pro-Pack.
Step 2 Put on the empty Ergonomic Pro-Pack and fasten the belt.
Step 3 Adjust the shoulder straps of the Ergonomic Pro-Pack for comfort.
Step 4 Detach the laptop carrier from the neck strap and attach it to the shoulder
straps of the Ergonomic Pro-Pack, as shown in Figure
2-22.
