Step 7 Place any accessories into the shipping case, the FieldSpec spectroradiometer,
instrument controller, and Ergonomic Pro-Pack.
6.2 Preparing the FieldSpec® 3 and Ergonomic
Pro-Pack for the Field
When arriving on site, unpack the FieldSpec spectroradiometer from the
shipping case, re-pack the spectroradiometer in the Ergonomic Pro-Pack
before use.
The Ergonomic Pro-Pack and FieldSpec spectroradiometer are designed for
both right-handed and left-handed use.
Note: Think twice before orienting the FieldSpec spectroradiometer to have its
Fiberoptic cable on your dominant side in the Ergonomic Pro-Pack, because
you may want your dominant hand free for other tasks, like one-handed
typing. Generally speaking, operating the Fiberoptic accessory will probably
require less dexterity than operating the instrument controller and typing
one-handed. Taking this into consideration could affect the decision about
which side the Fiberoptic accessory will be placed on.
Step 1 Follow the instructions for unpacking the FieldSpec spectroradiometer and
Ergonomic Pro-Pack from the shipping case.
Step 2 Place the Ergonomic Pro-Pack on a flat surface with the shoulder straps
towards the floor.
