Set-up operation
The installation and operation of electric locking systems in escape routes are
subject to inspection authority regulations, compliance with which must be
ensured by the installer and the operator.
Before initial commissioning
1 Before commissioning an electric escape-door locking system for the first
time, a check must be carried out to ensure that all elements and their
electrical connection are correctly installed. Particular care must be taken
with regard to the elements for releasing the locking in the event of danger.
2 Have correct installation and function of the escape-door locking system
checked by technical specialists.
Automatic system check after switching on
When the system is turned on or if there is a failure in the power supply, the
position of the internal emergency switch and the status of all control inputs are
queried automatically. The resultant system switching status is then directly
dependent on the determined parameters.
If an alarm is triggered after switching on, the cause of the alarm must be rectified
(“Determining the cause of the alarm”, page59).
