11-8. S Level
Mode-S level: " d - # "
The Mode-S feature is designed to improve the measurement stability of samples that may have
conventionally resulted in fluctuating readings.
There are 5 levels, wherein the larger the number is, the better the stability. For samples that give stable
readings, the factory default level 1 is sufficient. Emulsions or opaque samples and/or temperature
fluctuations may cause measurements to become unstable. Try adjusting the Mode-S level when this
occurs.
Press the START/STOP key to pause the measurement.
Press the SCALE key 5 times.
The SET UP light will then blink, and "SEt" will be
displayed on the measurement value display (Fig.11-1).
Press the ENTER key and the SET UP light comes
on.Using the keys, select "8. d-no" (Fig.11-37)
Press the ENTER key. The S level setting screen will be
displayed.
Use the keys to select either d-1, d-2, d-3,
d-4, or d-5. Press the ENTER key to confirm the
selection. The display will return to the "8.d-no" screen.
Press the SCALE key once more and return to the
measurement results display screen.
