These backups are performed automatically by the software during the normal bench operation. Note that
if the bench remains switched off for a long period, the backup is not performed until when the bench is
turned on again.
The main purpose of this key is to restore all the bench functionalities and customizations when bench PC
is substituted with a new one.
The backup function is protected by password. The application which executes the backup runs under
window and it get automatically minimized when everything works properly; therefore there is no impact
on the operator work.
By clicking on the icon the following window is displayed:
Click on the Backup now to create an instant backup.
Click on Restore to restore a previous backup; before executing this command, close the JSB software and
the l_b_oil.exe program (from the Windows Task Manager)
When a backup or a restore is executed, a password is required. The default passwords are provided with
the test bench. Atlas Copco strongly recommends to change these passwords:
Weekly backup: for a new bench (or after a software
upgrade) this backup will be available only after one
week of bench usage.
