10 Transducers Test Procedure
Atlas Copco strongly recommends calibrating the transducer monthly. This procedure is not intended to
substitute the yearly calibration, but it is a straightforward and quick method for checking the transducers
for correct operation and performing complete calibration, if needed.
To check the calibration, use direct-reading torque wrenches (of either dial or electronic type) of
appropriate capacity.
PROCEDURE:
1. Turn on the bench.
2. Press the Free Test key, select Standard, and then select “wrench” as “tool type”.
3. Apply the torque wrench to the transducer and apply a torque at about the 70% of the transducer’s
maximum torque. Start the test and check the torque measured as compared with the torque indicated by
the wrench.
4. If the torque measured is not acceptable, the transducer needs to be recalibrated.
5. Repeat the test for all of the transducers of the bench.
