5 External Transducers Setup
Most of the tests on the BLM 3750 are performed directly on the bench transducers. However, it is
possible to connect an external transducer connected to one of the external transducer connectors. This can
be used, for example, in the following cases:
• Executing a test on the real joint by using an IRTT-B between the tool and the joint; this can be
used, for example, to evaluate the joint behavior for self-tapping screws.
• Execute a test with an external transducer when it is not possible to place the tool under test on the
bench transducer.
• Execute a “Torque versus Force” test.
The BLM Setup menu accesses different menu based on the password used. The operator password enters
the external transducers setup (one password is reserved for Atlas Copco personnel, for a menu containing
all of the bench options and settings. For calibration purposes, a proper “calibration” USB key must be
connected to the bench to enter the calibration menus).
By entering the User Password 84263, the External Transducers Setup window is shown:
This window accesses the setup of the external transducers which can connect to the bench.
