Choose a Pset with a target torque corresponding to a tightening normally used
with your tool.
See Basic Tightening setup [Page000] for a tutorial on setting up and activat-
ing a suitable Pset.
Calibrating the tool
{ , : noprofile in element [subsection]}
To set the tool’s calibration value it must first be calculated from the torque
readings from the controller and the torque reference transducer by using the
equation below.
1. On the Tool menu, select the
tool to calibrate and go to Cali-
bration>Configuration.
2. Note the old calibration value in
the Calibration value text box.
3. Make at least three tightenings
and use the torque values read
from the controller and the refer-
ence transducer (ACTA or simi-
lar) for calculating the mean
torque values.
4. Calculate the new calibration
value using the New calibration
value equation.
5. Store the new calibration value
in tool memory, enter the value
by using the keypad and press
OK.
Setting the tool calibration alarm
The tool calibration alarm enables setting the date when the next calibration is
to be performed.
