a stic ker on the driver's side 8-pillar or on the inside of the fuel
filler flap .
• Only when all tires on the vehicle are filled to the correct pres·
sure, the tire pressure monitoring system* can work correctly.
• The use of incorrect tire pressure values can lead to accidents or
other damage. Therefore it is essential that the driver observe the
specified tire pressure values for the tires and the correct pres·
sures for the function of the tire pressure monitoring system* .
• Always inflate tires to the recommended and correct tire pres-
sure before driving off.
• Driving with underinflated tire s bend more, letting them get
too hot resulting in tread separation, sudden tire failure and loss
of control.
• Excessive speed and/overloading can cause heat build-up,
sudden tire failure and loss of control.
• If the tire pressure is too low or too high , the tires will wear
prematurely and the vehicle will not handle well.
• If the tire is not flat and you do not have to change a wheel
immediately, drive at reduced speed to the nearest service station
to check the tire pressure and add air as required.
0 Note
Driving without valve stem caps can cause damage to t he tire valves.
To preven t t his, always make su re t hat fa ctory inst alle d valve stem
caps o n all wheels a re securely mo unt ed o n the valve.

Under inflated ti res will a lso increase the fuel consumption . •

Tires and vehicle load limits
The re are limits to the amo unt of load or weight that any vehicle and
any tire can car ry. A veh icle t hat is ove rloa ded will not handle well a nd
is more difficult to stop . Overloading can not only lead to loss of
veh icle con t rol, bu t ca n also da mage import an t parts of t he vehicle
and can lead to sudden t ire failure , including a blowout and sudde n
deflation that can cause the vehicle to crash.
Your safety and t ha t of you r passe ngers also de pends o n mak ing sur e
that load limits are not exceeded. Vehicle load includ es everybody
and everyt hing in and on t he vehicl e. These load limits are t echn ica lly
referred to as the vehicle's
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating ("GVWR").
The "GVW R" includes the weigh t of the basic vehi cle, all factory
installed accessories, a fu ll ta nk of fue l, oil, coo la nt and other fluids
plus maxim um loa d. The maxim um loa d includes t he number of
passenge rs that t he veh icle is intended t o car ry ("sea ti ng capa city")
with an ass umed weig ht of 150 lb s. (68 kg) for each passenger at a
designat ed seating posit ion an d t he tot al weig ht of any luggag e in
the vehicle . If you tow a tra iler, the weight of the trailer hitch and the
t ongue weig ht of t he loa ded t rai le r mu st be included as pa rt of t he
vehicle load.
The
Gross Axle Weight Rating ("GAWR") is t he maximum load that
can be a pplied at each of t he veh icle's two axles .
The Gross Vehicle We ight Rating and the Gross Axle We ight Rating
are list ed on the safety comp lia nce sti cke r label located either on the
dr iver's side B-pilla r o r o n the inside of t he fuel f iller flap . Your Audi
has S se atin g po sit ions, 2 in t he fr o nt and 3 in t he rear fo r t ot a l
seating capacity of 5. Each seating position has a seat belt
=:, page 1 75, "Safety bel t s".
The fact t hat t here is an upper lim it t o your veh icle 's Gross Vehicle
Weight Rating means that t he total weight of whatever is being
carried in the veh icle (includ ing the weigh t of a t railer hitch and t he
tongue weight of the loaded tra iler) is limited . The mo re passengers
in th e ve hicle or pa ss engers who ar e heavier t ha n t he st a ndar d
we ights assumed mean that less we ig ht can be carried as luggage. .,_
