The tires and rims are essential pa rts of the vehicle's design . The tires
and rims approved by Audi are specially matched to the character is-
t ics of the vehicle and can make a major contribut ion to good road
holding and safe handling when in good condition and properly
inflated

We recommend that all work on t ires and wheels be performed by an
authori zed Audi deale r. They are fam iliar with recommended proce-
dures and have the necessary special tools and spare parts as well as
the proper facilities for disposing of the old tires.
Authorized Audi dea lers have the necessary info rmation about tech-
nical requirements for insta lling or changing tires and rims .
Replacing tires and wheels
Tires should be replaced at least in pa irs and not ind ividually (for
example both front tires or both rea r tires together) .

Always buy replacement radial tires t hat have the same specificat ions
as t he tires approved for your vehicle by Audi. Repla cemen t t ires must
always have the same load rating specification as the orig inal eq uip-
me nt or approved optiona l tires listed in the tab le =>
page 287.
