Roof load
The cargo on the roof must be se curely atta ched.
Handling characte ristics change when cargo is trans-
ported .
The pe rmissib le roof load fo r your vehicle is 200 lbs. (90 kg). The
roof load is a combin at ion of t he weight of t he car rier syst e m and t he
cargo.
W hen using roof ra ck sys t ems wit h a lower load capacity, you canno t
use the maxim um perm iss ible roof load. In this case, the roof rack
can on ly be loaded t o t he weig ht limit g iven in t he installa t ion g uid e.

• The cargo must be securely atta ched on the roof rack, other-
wise you risk an accident.
• You must under no circumstances exceed the permissible roof
load, the permissible axle loads and the permissible overall
weight of your vehicle - risk of an accident .
• Consider that when transporting heavy objects or one with a
large surface, the handling characteristics change due to shift in
the center of gravity or the greater surface exposed to the wind . So
