View Multi-Language Strings
Use this procedure to scan the language strings available on the telephone. A language string is
any set of words or phrases on the IP Telephone user interface.
1. While the telephone is on-hook and idle, press the following sequence of keys on the
faceplate of the telephone:
Mute 6 5 7 # (Mute M L S #)
Note: Press the Mute button momentarily. Do not press this button while pressing other
keys/buttons.
2. After entry of the command sequence, the telephone displays the following text:
3. To view the text string of the current language file, press *.
The text string of the language file currently selected displays as follows. If no language file
is being used or if a translation is not provided in the current language, English displays
instead:
Note: The “tag” in the language string display is the label associated with a specific
language in the downloaded language file.
4. Choose one of the following actions:
To shift the language string one character to the left, press the Left navigation button. You
can continue to press the Left navigation button to view the entire string.
To shift the language string one character to the right, press the Right navigation button.
You can continue to press the Right navigation button to view the entire string.
5. To view the next language string, repeat Steps 3 and 4. To exit the language string display,
press #.
