Label Color / Status Description
Amber / steady
• During Initialization: N/A
• After Initialization: The front panel has accepted the
user command. The system accepts the UI input and
is awaiting execution.
Amber / blinking
• During Initialization: N/A
• After Initialization: The system has rejected the UI
input.
Off The switch failed the self-test.
RPSU Green / steady The switch is connected to a redundant power supply
unit (RPSU) and is receiving power if necessary.
Green / blinking The switch is powered up with two or more supplies
and the AC has been removed. This is a non-service
affecting condition as the loss of one supply does not
stop system operation.
Amber / steady The switch is powered up with two or more supplies
and the PSU has been removed. This is a non-service
affecting condition as the loss of one supply does not
stop system operation.
Amber / blinking The switch is powered up with two or more supplies
and the DC output is off or bad. This is a non-service
affecting condition as the loss of one supply does not
stop system operation.
Off The switch is not connected to a RPSU, the RPSU is
not supplying power, or the DC/DC module is not
supplying power.
Up Green / steady The Cascade Up port has a physical connection to
another unit.
Amber / steady The Cascade Up port has detected an error.
Off The switch is in standalone mode or there is no link to
the Cascade Up port.
Down Green / steady The Cascade Down port has a physical connection to
another unit.
Amber / steady The Cascade Down port has detected an error.
Off The switch is in standalone mode or there is no link to
the Cascade Down port.
Base Green / steady The switch is the stack base unit.
Green / blinking There is a stack configuration error. Either multiple
base units or no base units are configured in the
stack.
