What to do if Avaya VoIP cell phone is in sleep mode?
    • K
      Kathryn WilliamsSep 6, 2025
If your cell phone is in 'sleep' mode, it may need to be 'woken up' before making or receiving calls. Try making a call from your cell phone or calling it directly from another phone. Sometimes, removing and reinserting the battery will activate the cell phone.

What to do if incoming calls are not received on Avaya VoIP EC500-enabled cell phone?
    • C
      cheryl85Aug 22, 2025
If incoming calls are not received on your EC500-enabled cell phone, it might be due to cellular network congestion. As the congestion decreases, your calls should go through. If the congestion persists, you can disable EC500, which will direct unanswered calls to your corporate voice mail system. This issue is often caused by large call volumes in the cellular network.

How to fix Avaya VoIP EC500 when it cannot coordinate two different voice mail systems?
    • K
      Kenneth AlexanderSep 4, 2025
If your EC500 is not coordinating voice mail systems, check with your cellular service provider to see how many rings occur before a call goes to cellular voice mail. Then, get the same information from your system administrator and set your corporate voice mail's number of rings higher or lower, so the preferred system picks up messages first.

What to do if Avaya VoIP calls are delayed due to cellular network congestion?
    • P
      Patricia JonesSep 2, 2025
If you're experiencing cellular network congestion, calls will eventually be delivered to your cell phone as the network clears. If the congestion persists and you don't want unanswered calls going to cellular voice mail, consider disabling EC500 temporarily.

Why are Avaya VoIP calls going directly to voice mail?
    • J
      james45Sep 1, 2025
If you are experiencing issues with calls being routed to corporate voice mail, ask your system administrator to increase the number of rings on your office phone. This allows more time for the cellular network to route the call to your cell phone.

What happens when all Avaya VoIP office phone lines are busy?
    • M
      Mr. Mark ScottAug 30, 2025
If all office phone lines are in use, calls will be delivered directly to corporate voice mail. This is a temporary situation, and when lines become available, your preferred voice mail system will resume pick-up.

Why is Avaya VoIP office caller ID not displayed when calling from EC500?
    • M
      Mary SmithAug 29, 2025
If your name and office caller ID are not displayed on the recipient’s phone when calling from an EC500-enabled cell phone, it's because you're calling a number outside your corporate telephone system. Office caller ID only works for phones within your corporate network. Alternatively, you may not be administered to send office caller ID. Contact your system administrator to verify proper office caller ID administration.

Why Feature Access Codes don't work under EC500 on Avaya Telephone?
    • T
      timothywrightAug 27, 2025
If Feature Access Codes like ACD (Automated Call Distribution), CFwd (Call Forward) and SAC (Send All Calls) won’t work under EC500 on your Avaya Telephone, it is because your cell phone cannot activate telephone switch features, except those accessible via an Avaya (non-EC500) telecommuting service plan. If you are registered as a telecommuting user, you can use non-EC500 Feature Access Codes.

Why are incoming calls not received on EC500-enabled Avaya Telephone?
    • J
      John WilsonAug 27, 2025
If incoming calls are not received on your EC500-enabled Avaya Telephone, it might be because your cell phone is out of your service area (roaming) or out of range, in which case calls are automatically forwarded to voice mail. Another reason might be that your cell phone is off or the battery may be dead, so turn your cell phone on and/or replace/recharge the battery pack.

What to do if incoming calls are not received on EC500-enabled Avaya Telephone?
    • S
      Scott PerezAug 25, 2025
If incoming calls are not received on your EC500-enabled Avaya Telephone, and Send All Calls is activated on your office phone, calls are being forwarded to coverage. To resolve this, cancel the Send All Calls feature. Also, some cell phones need to be “woken up” before making or receiving any calls. Try making a call from your cell phone or calling it directly from another phone to “wake it up,” if your cell phone is in “sleep” mode.
