7.2 Service checklist
Machine: Slicer
1 Check for noise and faults, liaise with operators.
2 Check meat table assembly/carriage/pusher plate, ensure safety guards
studs and screw function properly, lubricate assembly as necessary.
3 Remove knife plate checking screws and handles, check and adjust
distance between centre plate and knife and the inner rim of knife to
outside edge of centre of plate.
4 Clean back of knife adjust sharpener/sharpen knife.
5 Remove slice deflector, check tightness of adjustment plate, check and
adjust distance between deflector and back of knife.
6 Remove knife with correct tool, lubricate knife shaft.
7 Check drive belts for tension and replace as necessary.
8 Lubricate slider bar and wheel rail, replace buffers as necessary.
9 Check electrical safety of machine.
10 Rebuild machine and realign gauge plates.
11 Ensure machine functions correctly after complete service.
