1.Findthesystemcontrolleronyournetwork:
1.1Gotoaxis.com/support/downloadsanddownloadAXISIPUtility.
1.2StartAXISIPUtility.
1.3Usetheserialnumber,thatyoucanndontheundersideofthesystemcontroller,tolocatethesystem
controllerinthelist.
1.4Inthesearchresultlist,double-clickyoursystemcontroller.AXISBodyWornManageropensinyourbrowser.
2.Followthewizardtosetupthesystem:
-SelectCreateanewsystemifyouareconguringasinglesystemcontrollersetup,orifyouareconguringthe
rstsystemcontrollerinamultisystemcontrollersetup.SelectExtendanexistingsystemifyouwanttoadd
moresystemcontrollerstoyourexistingsystem.Inthisstepyoucanalsochooseyourpreferredlanguagefor
thebodywornsystem.
-Createanadministratoraccount.Youradministratorusernameisroot.
-Installthelatestrmware.Downloadthelatestrmwareataxis.com.
-TheSystemrestorekeyisanimportantsecurityfeature.ThebodywornsystemrequiresaSystemrestorekeyfor
certainoperations.Theseoperationsincludeforinstance,reestablishingtheconnectionbetweenthebodyworn
systemandtheexistingcameras,afterreplacingasystemcontrollerthathasfailed.
-TheSuperadminpassphraseprovidesextrasecurityforthebodywornsystem.Systemcriticalactions,for
examplerestoringthesystem,requirevericationwiththeSuperadminpassphrase.Itisalsorequiredwhen
unlockingacamerathatforsecurityreasonsislockedandcan'tbeusedinthesystem.Thepassphrasecan’t
bechanged.
-DownloadtheSystemrestorekeytoyourcomputerandstoreitinasecurelocation.
-Nameyourbodywornsystem.Thismakesiteasieridentifyingitinyourcontentdestinationandindifferent
cloudservices,andwhenyoureceiveemailnoticationsaboutcriticalsystemevents.Youcanchangethe
systemnameunderSettingsinAXISBodyWornManager.
-Congurenetworksettings.
-Dateandtime.Settingthetimecorrectlyiscriticalforseveralreasons.SeeAdjustdateandtimeonpage

-Cloudextensions.Thebodywornsystemcomeswithasetofstandardfeaturesoutofthebox.TheCloud
extensionsareasetofadditionalcloud-basedcapabilitiesthat,forexample,giveyouimprovedlocationdata
performance.YoucanchoosetoenableCloudextensionsinAXISBodyWornManageratanytime.However
onceenabled,Cloudextensionscan'tbeturnedoffwithoutresettingthesystem.SeeCloudextensionson
page18formoreinformation.
-Theconnectionleconnectsthebodywornsystemtothecontentdestination.Thecontentdestinationiswhere
yourrecordingsandmetadataarestoredandmanaged.Thebodywornsystemislockedtoacontentdestination
