Calibration
This actuator does not need calibration.
When connecting the valve stem of the valve body and the actuator rod with the stem
connector, adjust so that the valve plug contacts the seat ring when the valve is fully closed.
Next, loosen the screws on the actuator scale and position the scale so that the pointer
indicates the correct position in accordance with the valve stroke.
Then, adjust the single-acting positioner, referring to its user’s manual.
Cautions on operation and handling
CAUTION
Before operating a handwheel-equipped actuator automatically, check
that the auto/manual switching pin is inserted in the pin holder, the chain
is holding the handwheel, and the slide screw rotation lock is in the AUTO
position of the indicator.
When disassembling and assembling the actuator, stand it up vertically
(top: spring unit, bottom: yoke).
The eyebolts can be used to hoist the actuator only. Do not use them for
hoisting the actuator when it is still mounted on the valve body. Doing so is
dangerous.
