DPF REGENERATION SWITCH
(1) DPF Regeneration Switch
The DPF (diesel particulate lter) col-
lects soot contained in the engine ex-
haust and reduces exhaust smoke.
The soot collected in the filter must
be burned periodically to prevent the
filter from clogging and to ensure
that the lter can continue collecting
soot. The DPF is regenerated by in-
creasing the back pressure in the en-
gine and raising the temperature of
the exhaust.
Holding the button down for more
than 3 seconds initiates regenera-
tion; the lamp turns o in 30 minutes
when automatic regeneration is com-
plete.
