6.3 Error analysis
Errors may arise
• on the plug connections
• on the ultrasonic transducer
• on the probes
• on the HF generator
The device is robustly constructed and designed for a high level of reliability. Nevertheless,
the possibility of a malfunction due to a defective component can never be fully discounted.
Mechanical defects of the HF connector sockets, the plug connectors, the ultrasonic transducer,
etc., are possible as a result of frequent use or even incorrect handling, e.g. by dropping them.
Error analysis with HD 2070-U or HD 2200-U

Device cannot be switched on?
Green control light does not light

Is the mains voltage selector switch
on the generator set incorrectly?

Change switch setting on the rear side
of the generator to 115 V.
⇒ Send in homogeniser for repair since
fault is serious.

place.
- Check the cable for continuity or, if
needed, exchange the mains connec-
tor.
Main fuse faulty?
- Replace main fuse.
No time display? Microcontroller defective? - Following unsuccessful display
test, see chapter 6.2 ⇒ send
homogeniser for repair to the
manufacturer
