the ad apter as illustrate d. Use a 5mm Allen wrench.
Note: Some xenon lam ps have a ca thode pin with screw threat (reference 10 im age 4-14).

Reinstall the UV blocker assembly and the side cover in case you do not intend to install another xenon lamp
immediately in the Lamp House.
CAUTION: E xpired xenon lam ps.
Dispose of expired bulbs that are beyond warranty in the following manner: wrap the bulb tightly in several
layers o f canvas or heavy cloth. Place it on hard surface and shatter the envelope w ith a sharp hammer blow.
DO NOT p lace a n on sh attered bulb in an y ordinary refuse co ntainer.
When returning a xenon lamp for warranty adjustment, pack it in its original shipping container. Complete
and return all required warranty information.
4.5 Installation of the xenon lamp in manual S/M Lamp House
WARNING: DO NOT PER MIT UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL TO PERFORM OR ATTEMPT ANY PHASE OF
XENON LAM P HA NDLING OR SERVICE. ONLY TRAINED AND QUALIFIED TECHNICAL SERVICE PERSONNEL
ARE ALLOWED TO HANDLE THE XEN ON LAMP.
WARNING: This procedure may only be performed by qualified technical service p ersonnel.
CAUTION: Xenon comp act arc lamps are highly p ressurized. When ignited, the normal operating temperature
of the bulb increases the pressure to a level at which the bulb m a y explode if not handled in strict accordan ce
to the manufacturer’s instructions. The bulb is stable at room temperature, but may still explode if dropped or
otherwise mishandled. W hen ever the lamp house, containing a xenon lamp , has to be dism antled or when ever
the protective container or cloth has to be removed from the xenon lamp , authorized protective clothing MU ST
be worn!
WARNING: Always wear face protection (full face shield w ith n eck p rotector) w hen handling xenon lamps.
