5.2 Active (Drive) Relearns
Some vehicles can relearn by being driven. Refer to the tool’s on-screen relearn procedures for details on the driving time and
distance requirements for specific vehicles.
5.3 OBDII Relearns (300PROC and 400PRO Only)
An OBDII relearn is either a vehicle that requires the OBDII connection to complete the
registration of new TPMS sensor IDs to the vehicle, or is optional coverage for Stationary or
Auto Relearn vehicles. Connection to a vehicle allows the PRO Series tool to directly program
the vehicle’s ECM with TPMS sensor IDs.
NOTE:
Not all vehicles support vehicle communications modes.
1. Select Relearn from the Home menu.
2. Select the Make, Model, and Year of the vehicle you are working on.
NOTE:
Use the 10
th
digit of the VIN to verify the Model Year and ensure accuracy (see
Appendix B
for details).
NOTE:
If the Year you are working on is not an option, ensure that your tool’s software is up-to-date (see Section 1.9
). Contact
Bartec Technical Support (see Section 11.0) to verify whether a work-around exists.
