2.7 Battery / Autonomy
The ROCK internal battery is a custom long life Li-ion battery pack, 96Wh.
In order to reach maximum capacity, the battery should be charged during minimum 36 hours at max
current 1.3A. The current decreases when the battery voltage increases.
Minimum value of the battery voltage: 3.2VDC
Maximum value of battery voltage: 4.2VDC (The battery is fully charged)
Certification UN38.3 and IEC/EN 62133. Contact Syscom in order to get a copy of these certificates.
Autonomy:
Typically 6 months on sole battery.
The SCS will give battery state of health
notifications for preventive maintenance.
Permanent monitoring
1000Hz sampling rate
10 events per day of <15s, automatically
pushed to the SCS
Background acquisition enabled (peak)
ROCK-SCS synchronization every 1 hours
In order to extend the ROCK autonomy, the ROCK solar can be used for outdoor usage or an
additional Power Bank can be linked to the ROCK using the microUSB connector.
2.8 Sensor / Calibration
The ROCK is equipped with an internal triaxial velocity sensor.
Orientation Horizontal/floor or vertical/wall mount.
The orientation of the device can be
changed.

Measuring range 135 mm/s – 5.3 in/s
Frequency range 1-350Hz
Noise level at 1000Hz Typically 0.002 mm/s
Calibration According to DIN 45669 class 1
Each ROCK is calibrated from factory in a lab using reference sensors traceable to national standards.
