6 Monitoring with the ROCK & SCS
The ROCK & SCS solution dedicated to vibration monitoring compliance is easy to use and requires no
other 3
rd
party items, such as SIM cards, solar panels, field cables, IT software like VPN or FTP servers,
etc.…
The following example will highlight the steps required for a typical construction site monitoring:
A) Create a free account into the SCS https://scs.bartec-syscom.com.
B) Request a ROCK from Syscom or a local partner. It will be delivered quickly and automatically
assigned to this SCS account.
C) Create a monitoring project in the SCS and assign the ROCK to this project
Note: several ROCK can be assigned and several projects can be created
D) Setup the parameters of the devices, the reporting and notifications in the SCS
Note: These configurations can be modified anytime in the SCS
E) Go to site and place the ROCK at proper location for relevant vibration monitoring
F) Once installed, switch on the ROCK with the keyboard
G) Finally, switch on the ROCK in the SCS under POOL section. Your monitoring will start
automatically and the data can be visualized in the project under EVENT and BACKGROUND
sections.
H) Once the monitoring is over, switch off the ROCK with the keyboard and in the SCS. Begin a
new project or return it to the local partner.
Note: Several ROCK can be assigned to one project. It is recommended to setup ROCK trigger level
carefully to avoid continuous triggering and recording not to exceed the monthly 4G data volume
allowance. Having less recorded data but more relevant data will raise analysis efficiency.
