5 Maintenance
The ROCK is fully integrated in one robust enclosure and would not require much maintenance due to
its reliability and its auto test features.
Basically, the ROCK will raise any potential warnings and errors to the SCS and the users will be notified
if any problem arise.
ROCK devices should not be opened, except for orientation change. It is recommended to change the
seal when doing orientation change.
In order to maintain the ROCK adequately, it is recommended to follow the below recommendations:
o Before installing the device at site, internal battery should be fully charged
o Installing ROCK on site should be done away from pathways to avoid spurious events
o The ROCK antenna should be properly mounted and screwed to the device
o SOH notifications in the SCS should be activated
o Once off site, ROCK should be cleaned and the calibration certificate checked. If the validity is
close or older than 2 years, your local partner should be contacted for inspection and
recalibration
Contact your local partner or Syscom for any trouble. A diag report (refer to §2.2) may be required for
proper situation evaluation and assessment.
