3.7 Live Recording Parameters
The parameters in the Live Recording group are used to configure the settings for saving live
recording data to an SD card or to an FTP server.
3.7.1 Stream Tabs
The parameters on the Stream 0 tab, Stream 1 tab, and Stream 2 tab control the way that the live
stream associated with the selected tab is saved and to which location it is saved. Several streams
can be saved simultaneously.
This section describes the settings on the Stream 0 tab, the settings available on the Stream 1 and
Stream 2 tabs are identical to the Stream 0 tab.
 On Alarm = Live recording will be started for the enabled stream if an alarm condition has
been declared and if you have enabled the Live Recording alarm action (see page 48).
When the alarm condition is declared, the Live Recording parameter automatically changes its
value from On Alarm to Alarm Recording.
Note that the beginning and the behavior of recording the live stream is determined by the Live
Recording Behavior parameter (see page 48).
 Alarm Recording = Live recording will be started immediately for the enabled stream
(regardless of whether the Live Recording alarm action (see page 48) has been enabled or
not).
When an alarm condition ends and the Live Recording alarm action has been enabled before,
the Live Recording parameter automatically changes its value from Alarm Recording to
On Alarm.
Note that the behavior of recording the live stream is determined by the Live Recording Behavior
parameter (see page 48).
When saving live stream files to the SD card, note the settings entered for
Live Memory Allocation [%] and Overwrite Live Recordings on the SD Card tab (see page 51).
You should be aware that if the load on the camera’s microprocessor is already large during normal
operation, saving live streams to the SD card or to the FTP server can influence the overall
performance of the camera. Also take this fact into consideration if you want to save several
streams simultaneously.
Live Recording Mode - Sets the live recording mode for the
stream.
 Off = Live recording is turned off. The live stream of the enabled
stream will not be saved.
 Always = Live recording is always turned on. The live stream of
the enabled stream will permanently be saved.
