DECS-150 Mounting
15 • Mounting
The DECS-150 is normally located in the machine conduit box. It is designed for behind-the-panel
mounting and requires a cutout for front panel viewing and access to the front-panel USB jack (if so
equipped). Supplied mounting hardware consists of six #12 thread-forming screws. The screws pass
through mounting holes in the conduit box and thread into the plastic shell of the DECS-150. The screws
are equipped with O-ring seals. The recommended torque for the steel mounting screws is 3.95 newton-
meters (35 inch-pounds). The unit must be mounted where the ambient temperature does not exceed the
allowable environmental conditions called out in the Specifications section. DECS-150 package
dimensions are shown in Figure 15-1. Cutout and drilling dimensions are shown in Figure 15-2. Drawing
dimensions are shown in inches and millimeters (in parenthesis).
Projection mounting is possible with an optional mounting bracket. Request part number 9576500050.
Installation for EMC Compliance
The DECS-150 must be mounted inside a grounded, metal, EMC-type enclosure (conduit box).
