Sensing Transformer Ratings and Configuration

DECS-150 configuration includes entry of the primary and secondary values for the transformers that
supply machine and bus sensing values to the DECS-150.
The Sensing Transformers screen is illustrated in Figure 21-3.
Machine PT
Voltage settings for the machine PT primary and secondary windings establish the nominal PT voltages
expected by the DECS-150. ABC or ACB phase rotation can be accommodated. Options for the machine
voltage sensing connections include single-phase (across phases C and A) and three-phase sensing
using three-wire delta connections.
Machine CTs
Current settings for the machine CT primary and secondary windings establish the nominal CT current
values expected by the DECS-150. DECS-150 sensing current can be obtained from B-phase only or all
three machine phases.
Bus PT
Voltage settings for the bus PT primary and secondary windings establish the nominal bus PT voltages
expected by the DECS-150. Options for the bus voltage sensing connections include single-phase
(across phases A and C) and three-phase sensing using three-wire delta connections.
