11 DIESEL GENERATOR UNIT
For the supply of the electric drive and control system of the LINESTAR a diesel generator unit is mounted on the
central unit. Depending on the power requirement of the system the electrical power of the unit is between 10kVA
and 20kVA.
The unit is complete and consists of the following components:
 Base frame with integrated fuel tank.
 Diesel engine with electric start including battery
 Generator directly coupled to the engine.
 Unit cover
 Unit control panel with following functions and indications:
 Three Ampere indicators (one per phase)
 One voltmeter with phase converter
 Frequency indicator
 Operating hour meter
 Luminous indication of malfunction
 Failure indicator for oil pressure, cooling water temperature, battery charging, fuel,
 Warning siren
 Fuses
 Start lock with key
 Stop switch
